ANGELS

As most of you know, Rex Hudler is back on AM830 Tuesdays at ESPN Zone before the game. As you may also know, GoHalos.com has been campaigning for the “Wonder Dog” since he was let go by the Angels. But even with the long wait, the timing for his return couldn’t be better. An off-season evacuation of fan favorites, such as Chone Figgins and Vladdy Guerrero, has been accompanied by an opening month that is to be forgotten. In addition, the on-air entertainment has been significantly diminished with the firing of Steve and Rex, and the loss of our beloved Rory Markas. Victor Rojas has been a nice replacement and Jose Mota is doing the job, but things just haven’t been the same.

This is not the first time an Angels team has struggled, but it is magnified because there is little entertainment value and excitement to get us through the low points. So many of us live and die by this team, so when they are struggling it is painful.

The Angels Pregame show is typically on during my drive home. Jeff and Jason are great, but I really miss having Rex there to pump me up before the game. They could have been playing the Royals and I would be excited. Baseball is supposed to be entertaining and lately (do I dare say), it has been much like listening to a Dodger game. Very dull. It is great to have Rex back, but it can’t stop at once a week. If Rex Hudler joined with Jose Mota and Terry Smith on the radio, all would be right in Angel land once again.

So all you fans out there, help us support Rex and put the spark back in Angels Baseball.
