Great way to start off the second half of the season. Joel Pineiro had a solid outing, and kept his ERA at a miserly 3.95 while improving to 10-6. The top three in our line-up (Aybar, Kendrick and Abreu) combined for 7 hits and 7 RBIs.

After winning 8 of our last 12 games in the month of June, we have now lost 4 of our last 6. Luckily, Texas is struggling to win games as well, so we’re still only 4.5 games behind. In the last two games against the White Sox, the Angels have managed to score 3 runs off of 15 hits.

What a great June for the Angels. They went 18-9, winning the final four series of the month. The Halos went 10-5 in interleague play. They’ll try to continue their push towards the top spot of the AL West as they host the Kansas City Royals, who they beat earlier in June in Kansas City.

Texas Rangers vs Los Angeles Angels 7/1

Vladdy clearly likes being back in Anaheim. In his two games back in the big A, he’s gone 6-for-8 with 3 homeruns and 8 rbis. He’s produced over 75% of their scoring during the series. Scott Kazmir was lights-out in the first three innings, but then fell apart in the 4th.

If it doesn’t seem like we’ve had a lot of days off, it’s because we haven’t. Despite having a day off yesterday, we’re still leading the majors in games played with 78.
