As most of you know Rex Hudler and Steve Physioc have been let go by the Angels. Now as we know more we will let you know, but the campaign to bring Rex back starts now. Please join our facebook group by clicking the link below, and let’s let the Angels know how we feel.
GoHalos.com is now officially dedicated to Rex Hudler. To us no free agent is as important to the identity of the Angels and Rex. Not only did he get us pumped up for every game (Including the Royals), he rivals Torii Hunter’s work in the community.
We are not going to get into why the Angels did this, because I think we all know why, and frankly it’s despicable. The Angels are a classy organization, which is why this is so upsetting.
Please help us bring back Mr. Angel.

I completely agree. Yes, I know, some of you think Rex was over the top. But that’s what made Rex so great! If anyone ever loved baseball as much as Rex, I doubt I’ll ever meet him or her. Simply put, Rex and Steve made baseball FUN. I never wanted to miss a game they called, even if we were losing.
I often listen to Angels games on my iPhone with the wonderful MLB app. An option in the app is that you can listen to the game with either the Angels broadcasters or that of the opposing team. Out of curiosity, I would occasionally try the other broadcaster. Invariably, I would regret it. Why? Because listening to another team’s broadcasters is like tuning in on the play-by-play of a Kremlin funeral during the Soviet era. It was like watching paint dry. By contrast, listening to Rex was like hearing the play-by-play of the best party ever.
Rex wasn’t just a broadcaster. He was one of us. He was that buddy or crazy uncle who joined you in your living room for beer and nachos while watching the game, cracking jokes all the while. But I learned a ton about baseball from Rex. And ask yourself this: what other announcer would SPONTANEOUSLY bolt from the booth and run into the stands to give an elderly fan or a child a hug and a baseball? Only Rex. It was never scripted. It was Rex being Rex.
You won’t know how good we had it until Rex is gone. Which is why we have to bring back Rex and Steve. Let your feelings be known!
And to Steve and Rex: no matter what, whether we succeed or not, thanks guys. Thanks for so many wonderful years of bringing smiles to our faces, for making Angels baseball so wonderful, and for being you. We won’t forget.
I run a fan website on myspace and we want to bring back Rex an Steve. The Angels fans group is Fan Loyal,Fan Faithful,Fan Strong. Well we as the fans would like to have a say on who our announcers are. I have posted a petition to bring back Rex and Steve. I posted it at eleven o’ clock last night just on my page and woke up this morning and already had 170 signatures. And I have not even e mailed it to yet to a bunch of people that i know and the fans know to get it signed. We really want to bring back Rex and Steve. View the petition here
